Wollersheim Winery's Ruby Nouveau 2014, the first taste of the new harvest! Join us Thursday, November 20 at 11:00 am as Winemaker Philippe taps the Ruby Nouveau 2014 barrel. This toast will be celebrated with Wisconsin cheese & sausage.

Our Ruby Nouveau is Wisconsin’s version of a Beaujolais Nouveau, traditionally released the third Thursday in November. Our Ruby Nouveau is made from our estate-grown Foch grapes and Winemaker Philippe follows the traditional methods of whole berry fermentation.

Come celebrate the release of our fall harvest wines on Saturday, November 22, from 10am to 4pm. A special wine journey takes you between our Vineyard and Sugarloaf Rooms.

Complimentary Self-Guided Tour | A combination of touring and tasting, this self-guided tour highlights our new fall vintages, festive displays, and food pairings. This special tour is offered in lieu of our regular guided tour.

Wine Tasting | Taste a selection of our just released wines, including Domaine Reserve 2013, Ruby Nouveau 2014, and our new wine, Carignan 2013.

Fall Foods | Sample a selection of locally-prepared fall foods from Chef Mitch Maier of Prairie du Sac. He will feature a Beef Wellington prepared with our Domaine Reserve and a cranberry apple pie made with our Prairie Blush.

Cheese Tasting | Distinctive Wisconsin-made cheeses will also be paired with our wines.

Live Music | Celebrate the beauty of fall and enjoy a glass of wine to the sounds of Daniel Anderson on the piano and guitar with vocals by Katie Gaynor in our Sugarloaf Room.

Experience old-world charm as you prepare for Christmas! A Vintage Christmas is held Saturday, November 29, from 10am to 4pm, and will get you into the holiday spirit.

Holiday Wine Tour | A strolling tour is offered with a sprinkling of tastings and holiday entertaining tips between our Sugarloaf and Vineyard Rooms. This special tour is offered in lieu of our regular guided tour.

Wine Tasting & Holiday Food | Taste a selection of our wines, each carefully paired with holiday recipes prepared by the local Blue Spoon Café of Prairie du Sac.

Christmas Carolers | Enjoy a glass of wine while listening to sounds of the season from local Christmas carolers, who will perform throughout the day in our Sugarloaf Room.

Holiday Gift Ideas | Taste hand-crafted, natural and organic seasonal foods from Tower Rock Farmstead Bakery in Prairie du Sac. Visit with the owners who nurture and farm their land. An offering of Wisconsin gift ideas for the wine enthusiast will be showcased throughout the winery.

Capture the Moment | Need a picture for your Christmas card? Bring your camera and your smile, and we’ll provide a picturesque indoor photo location and a winery staff member to take your photo!

Wollersheim Winery "Sugarloaf Room"

Help send WW II and Korean War Veterans to Washington DC in 2015 on one of 4 flights scheduled out of Dane County Regional Airport. Each flight carries about 90 veterans with a cost of around $500 per veteran.

Featuring All That Jazz Big Band, WWII era vintage music, along with Holiday music performed by an 11+ piece band. One complimentary glass of select Wollersheim Wine is included with ticket purchase. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the winery or day of event.

A break from Wisconsin’s winter! Join us as we celebrate both our Port wines, Red Port, plus our White Port. Take a behind the scenes look at the making of our Port wines. Sample both the Red Port and White Port, along with other Wollersheim wines available for tasting and by the glass. Enjoy live music, light food and insights on Port wine from winemaker, Philippe Coquard.

Tours & Tasting | In lieu of our regular tour, take a stroll behind the scenes and learn how Port wines are made. Enjoy a taste of the red Port, white Port, and a few other wines along the way as you wind around from the modern fermentation facilities to the historic stone wine cellars where the Port ages in barrels. Plus, view Winemaker Philippe’s custom-painted Port Harley motorcycle and the Brandy pot still.

Winemaker Talks | Hear from Winemaker Philippe, plus ask your questions about the wines or winery, as he shares insight on making Port wines.

Wine & Food | The Port wines and other Wollersheim wines are available to purchase and enjoy by the glass. A Port plate combination that complements the Ports with a choice of flavorful Wisconsin cheeses, chocolate truffles, freshly baked bread, almonds, and apricots is also available to purchase.
